Mark Sales, Executive Director

Mark is CEO, President & Co-Founder of ProDalG Biofuels Inc. He is Founder and Managing Director of TEK Capital Partners Corp., parent   of  CleanTEK Network. Mark's background provides for a combination of strategic, operational and financial experience. Mark  is focused on sourcing, executing and monitoring CleanTEK's engagements. Mr. Sales worked at Merrill Lynch from 1994 to 2002 where he was Portfolio Manager (Personal Investment Advisor Program) and financial advisor with a  team that developed asset management strategies designed to support the investment initiatives of high net worth individuals and corporations. At the time of his departure, the team managed over two hundred and fifty million dollars in client assets. Mr. Sales joined VentureWest Partners as Senior Partner in 2002, a Colorado based Merchant Bank that provides investment banking and  advisory services to early stage businesses in the healthcare and software industries.  Mr. Sales sits on a number of boards including ProDalG Biofuels and HTO Water Technologies. He has held various operational positions with investee companies. Mr. Sales graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 and lives in Toronto.


Dr. Eric Prouzet, Research Associate

Dr. Prouzet is CSO of ProDalG Biofuels and Associate Professor in Chemistry and Nanotechnologies at the University of
Waterloo and a Senior Scientist at the French Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Dr. Prouzet received an engineer diploma from the National School of Industrial Ceramics of Limoges in 1986 and a PhD in Material Chemistry at the University of Nantes in 1988. His research interests include the synthesis of porous materials and nano-objects with the help of soft matter (micelles, liquid crystals, biogels) toward applications in the domain of clean technologies. Dr. Prouzet is the inventor and creator of the technology being developed by ProDalG Biofuels that will address many of the common problems encountered by photobioreactors producing algae.


Kristina Djokic, Senior Engineer

Ms. Djokic has considerable experience in developing pilot scale projects in many sectors including biomedical product development, environmental remediation, biofibre processing, biofuels and biochemical extraction. Her focus is in project execution, sustainability engineering and green technologies. Kristina has also led sustainability and greening programs that aim to increase environmental stewardship. Kristina received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2003.

CleanTek's Advisory Council is comprised of "Advocates" that play an important role by sharing ideas, their expertise and assist with our strategic plan.

Dr. Vinay Mulgundmath

Dr. Mulgundmath evaluates technologies within the industrial sector, especially “clean energy” projects. He is an expert in Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) technologies and keenly follows the R&D developments, carbon economy and the environmental regulations governing the sector. Dr. Mulgundmath holds a PhD degree in Chemical engineering (carbon capture) from University of Ottawa, MSc degree in Process engineering from France and an undergraduate degree in Chemical engineering from India. Vinay has been recognised as a strong advocate of climate change issues by Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and is a recipient of Ultramar scholarship for extracurricular activities in environmental issues. Dr. Mulgundmath was the president of CUPE 2626 which is comprised of around 3000 members and managed 12 employees. Vinay is a registered Professional Engineer (PEng) in the province of Ontario and fluent in four languages (English, French, Hindi and Kannada). Vinay currently resides in Edmonton.

Phil Winters

Phil helps evaluate energy conservation, green building materials, and solar opportunities. Furthermore, he brings valuable political perspective as it applies to renewable energy generation and technologies.  Mr. Winters is a Co-Founder of EnWise Power Solutions. Phil was the Managing Director of the CleanTech Group at OEB Enterprise and led the North American sales, marketing and communications strategies for Sustainable Energy Technologies. He was Western Director of the Center for Environmental Citizenship.  Mr. Winter's was Field Director for John Hickenlooper (mayor of Denver) and helped design the new administration's "Denver Sustainability Plan". Phil received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors from Queens University. He has received  advanced training from the Environmental Leadership Institute in Washington, DC and from Solar Energy International in Carbondale, CO. Phil most recently assisted with TEK Capital Partners UK based client whose web based solution differentiates between personal calls and billable time. Phil resides in Toronto.

Dr. Sam Lee

Sam Lee is Director of Life Sciences and Health Care at the Toronto 
Region Research Alliance. From 2001 to 2007, Dr. Lee held various positions at NPS Pharmaceuticals. This included Senior Director of Research Operations, responsible for management of the company's $20 million annual drug discovery operations. Dr. Lee was also Emerging Technologies Group Leader, responsible for scouting, evaluating and acquiring new technologies and early stage drug discovery programs from universities, research hospitals, and biotechnology companies. Prior to NPS Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Lee was with DuPont Canada, from 1995 to 2000, starting as a Research Scientist before joining one of DuPont's acquisitions teams as a Business Development Specialist. Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Toronto.

Donald J. Murray

Don helps CleanTEK evaluate biofuel technology opportunities. He is the Managing Director of the Investment Banking Group at Green Dawn. His background includes fifteen years of experience providing corporate finance advisory services, including private placements, mergers & acquisitions, PIPEs, reverse mergers/alternative public offerings, structured finance, portfolio investments, strategic consulting and IPOs for companies based in the U.S., China, Russia and Europe. Prior to joining Greener Dawn, Don served as Vice President with the Investment banking divisions of Global Hunter Securities and Pacific Ridge Capital where he executed equity and debt placements, PIPEs, reverse mergers, and advisory services for companies in the alternative energy, technology and health care sectors. Prior to entering the field of finance, Don served as an Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Air Force. Don received an MBA in Finance and International Business from The Ohio State University and a BA in Management Studies from the University of Maryland. Don currently resides in New Port Beach, CA.

James Stranges

Mr. Stranges is a legal advocate to CleanTEK and is Partner in the Toronto office of Lang Michener. James' practice focuses on a wide range of corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance. He also provides ongoing corporate and securities law advice to a number of clients. Mr. Stranges received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1992 and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997. James was called to the Bar in 1999 and currently resides in Toronto.

Dean Gendron

Mr. Gendron is the founder, President and CEO of Redan Capital Incorporated, a company that provides Issuer Advisory, Capital Markets and Business Transition and Implementation Services to early stage and developed private and public companies. Mr. Gendron was also the founder, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Calotto Capital Inc. (TTO.P), a Capital Pool Corporation (CPC) listed on the TSX-V. In this role, he oversaw the CPC Company’s business through to a successful cross-border amalgamation with Hamilton Thorne Ltd. (HTL.V), a leading provider of advanced laser systems and instruments for the stem cell research and fertility clinic markets. Prior to this, Mr. Gendron provided key leadership in the commercialization strategy, financing and growth of Critical Outcome Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: COT.V), a drug discovery and development company. In October 2005, he led the financing activities and concurrent reverse takeover by Critical Outcome Technologies Inc. of Aviator Petroleum Corp., a TSX-V-listed Capital Pool Company. Mr. Gendron served as a director of Critical Outcome Technologies Inc. from April 2006 to September 2008. Mr. Gendron was also the President and Chief Executive Officer of DDP Therapeutics, a Joint Venture early stage drug development company. During this period, Mr. Gendron formed DDP Therapeutics with the key principals and grew the company through to being successfully acquired by Critical Outcome Technologies Inc. He has also assisted Mr. John Drake - Whippoorwill Holdings Ltd. with several of his business investments from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Gendron is also a founder, Director and Audit Committee Chair of KCC Capital Corporation (KIC.P), a TSX-V listed Capital Pool Company. Prior to this he has also founded and held executive positions with several others companies. Mr. Gendron has a broad base of international business and company development experience.

John Bell

John Bell is co-Founder of HTO Water Technologies Inc. and helps source green building and water technology business opportunities. John is actively involved in the green building community, having recently hosted HGTV’s World’s Greenest Homes, as manager to eco-friendly construction reno’s and builds, and as President of HTO Water Technologies Inc. John has worked with a number of custom home builders over the  past several years and is actively involved with Kinswater Construction acting as project manager to renovations and eco-friendly construction builds.  John also spent a decade working in television which included 5 years at Global Television as a sports anchor, he was the design assistant and carpenter on the home makeover series, Colour Confidential (W Network) and most recently,  hosted World's Greenest homes (HGTV/Discovery Planet Green) which provides viewers with an inside look at the most environmentally-savvy homes around the globe.  John holds an undergraduate degree from University of Western Ontario, and a broadcast diploma from Fanshawe College.
